• BerserkButton: Please, don't mock someone else's goals in front of him. Specially if this involves Charlie trying to not drink alcohol. When that one happened, Mac almost went berserk on Kitty's brother Alf. Beware the Nice Ones
• BigBad: Is the primary antagonist of the novel and movie.
• Bishonen: Sage is described to be very physically handsome and attractive with beautiful features. He definitely is said to rival fellow bishonen's, Stefan and Damon.
• CowardlyLion: He's relatively small for his size, easily frightened, constantly complains about going into dangerous situations, but will literally go to hell and back for his friends.
• CuteButCacophonic: Is said to be a terrible singer.
• Determinator: Red-headed heroine, and quite a beauty, too. Verges on Informed Attribute, because the narrator cannot stop gushing about how gorgeous she is.
• HumanoidAbomination: An exercise in knowing when to stop using Free Magic. It takes him over and transforms his body and soul. Mostly his soul, though.
• TheDogBitesBack: Zero snaps and hits him in the face with a shovel.
• WhatTheHellHero: Letting Jake fall, among other things.
